Remove the old head slowly so the shower arm does not twist inside the wall.
Clean the exposed threads, wrap plumber tape clockwise, then install the new head by hand.
Run water before stepping away. A small drip usually means the tape is folded, the threads are dirty, or the head is over-tightened.
